Baccarat
An editorial website for a fashion, luxury and lifestyle magazine, built for a publication's rhythm rather than a brochure's.

Brief
What we were asked to do
Baccarat is a fashion, luxury and lifestyle magazine. Its website had to carry that positioning while behaving like a publication rather than a brochure: a steady flow of new articles and photography, presented with enough restraint that the editorial and the imagery are what a reader notices. That meant designing for a title that keeps producing, not for a fixed set of pages that would look dated by the second issue.
Output
What we made
An editorial website built to a magazine's rhythm. A long, image-led front page gives the current issue and featured stories room to breathe, article layouts hold up for both long reads and photo essays, and the structure behind them lets the editorial team keep publishing without a redesign each issue. Typography and spacing were treated as the design work rather than a finishing pass, because in a luxury title restraint is the whole point.
Results
What it did
The magazine has a home for its editorial that presents it the way the print title does, and a publishing structure that absorbs new work issue after issue.
