Gudang Garam Website
A corporate website giving the public, the press and the investment community one accurate, bilingual reference for Indonesia's best-known kretek manufacturer.

Brief
What we were asked to do
Gudang Garam needed one authoritative place on the web where anyone with an interest in the company could find accurate information about it without having to ask. As one of Indonesia's largest listed manufacturers, making kretek in Kediri since 1958, the company is followed closely by investors and analysts, written about constantly by the press, and looked up daily by people weighing a career there. Each of those audiences was arriving at a web presence that no longer matched the scale of the business, or what people now expect to be able to find for themselves. We were asked to design and build a corporate site that sets out the company's history, governance, brand portfolio and financial disclosures in plain language, serves them equally well in Indonesian and English, and stands up to the scrutiny that comes with being publicly listed.
Output
What we made
A corporate website built to carry a large and frequently updated body of reference material without feeling heavy. Performance was treated as a design constraint rather than a final optimisation: right-sized and compressed imagery, deferred media below the fold, and a light front end, so pages open quickly on the mobile connections most Indonesian visitors are on. The design gives the company room to look like itself, with full-bleed photography of the head office and the operation behind it, a restrained palette drawn from the corporate identity, and typography that stays comfortable through long stretches of governance and financial text. Every section exists in Indonesian and English, and the language switch keeps the reader on the page they were already reading. Security and maintainability were written into the specification rather than added afterwards: enforced HTTPS, hardened hosting, a locked-down publishing workflow, and a content structure the company's own communications team can keep current without coming back to us.
Results
What it did
The public, the press and the investment community now have a single current reference for the company: its history from 1958 in Kediri through to its position as a listed manufacturer, how it is governed and managed, the brands it makes, and what it reports to shareholders. Corporate announcements, financial statements, dividend and AGM information sit in one predictable place in both languages, and the careers and CSR sections give two audiences that previously had nowhere obvious to land a proper front door.
